​The Friends of Bill Hayes Bronze Statue and the “Bill and Carolyn Hayes Scholarship Endowment” fund was created to support the design, creation and erection of a bronze statue in honor of the all-time great, legendary “Hall of Fame” Coach and Athletic Director William "Bill" Hayes, as well as, award scholarships to student athletes.
